Kem Izzet becomes the new Brightlingsea Regent first team manager after Tom Rothery resigned in September.
Kemal needs no introduction in the footballing world having played over 400 professional matches for Colchester United, as-well as captaining the team that won promotion to the Championship in 2006.
Izzet’s most recent appointment has seen him as head coach of East Thurrock United under manager John Coventry for the previous two season’s, where he played a part in Essex Senior Cup glory last term.
Kem also has managerial experience when he took charge of Stanway Rovers in 2017, helping develop young players ready for the first team.
