The former Redbridge Manager’s were the masterminds behind the club’s success over the past 3 seasons, having led the club back to Step 4 with promotion from the Essex Senior League, and last season winning the Essex Senior Cup.

Ryan added this regarding his new colleagues, “Myself, George and Jack go back a long way and we all have tremendous respect for each other.”

“At such a crucial stage of the season I needed to get this decision right and I know that everybody in the footballing world would agree that this is an exceptional appointment for Brightlingsea Regent Football Club.”

Ryan knows George and Jack from their time at Aveley and have also came head to head when their respective academy teams do battle on the pitch, however they have remained close friends.

George commented this, regarding his new challenge, “When Salts asked the question it was a no brainer to be honest”

“His done an amazing job since taking over at Regent, with a really exciting young group of players, I cannot wait to work with for the remainder of the season”
