New R’s boss Kem Izzet has strengthened his team ahead of Regent’s trip to Worthing.

Warren Thomas is the first to sign, previously of East Thurrock.

Warren is described as a tidy and hard working central midfielder, who will add strength in a position where the R’s find themselves short on numbers.

Kem also adds two Colchester United youngsters on initial 28-day work experience loans.

The first being Diogo Freitas-Gouveia who originates from Portugal.

Diogo is an attacking wide midfielder and possesses lots of pace and flair. The dangerous winger also chips in with a goal or two, having scored 5 goals this season in the U’s academy.

The second is the exciting Jake Hutchinson.

Jake is a striker who certainly knows where the net is, something the R’s have lacked this season.

Hutchinson is the top Goalscorer in the Under 18’s Professional Development League notching 9 times for United.

Jacob or Jake as he is better known, likes to play off the last defender and will work very hard in causing defensive problems.

The R’s also announce that Adam Hampson has departed the club and rejoined FC Clacton.
